I haven’t abandoned you.

13 Oct

I just don’t have a kitchen to cook in. For serious.

I’ve been experiencing some major apartment drama since I moved to Boston (which was a lovely welcome to the east coast) and I might have to move. Because I might have to move I’ve kept all of my stuff in boxes, and am currently operating with a minimal kitchen setup. Surprisingly, it hasn’t affected my cooking all that much but I haven’t been able to get in the mood to create a real blog. I used up all of my picture backlog, too.

I’m thinking about doing something with apples, because it’s fall and apples are everywhere. Maybe some Apple Brown Betty? I think I have a pan I can use for that, somewhere. There was rumor of an apple-picking expedition with some of my classmates but I missed it because I was in California.

Until next time. Don’t give up on me. I would never give up on you.

xo, Stef

Oh dear! If you get desparate for an oven, my kitchen is just a short T ride away. Hope the drama resolves soon 🙂

I made pork tenderloin with apple-thyme sauce. And apple collard green sautee, wuth gingered mashed yams. Oooohmmmm.
Apple brown betty is delicious. Lodge makes excellent (and inexpensive) cast ironware.
You are amazing. Your next recipe should be apple-pumpking cupcakes with orange creamcheese frosting. I just made that up. I’s up to you to make the recipe!

I can’t type! Or edit comments, apparently. With. Pumpkin. Cream Cheese. So there.

Apple-pumpkin cupcakes with orange cream cheese frosting sound amazing! Or cinnamon cream cheese frosting. Or maple-cream cheese frosting!
I’m totally going to do it. My muffin pan is one of the few that is out of the box, because it was one of the last that I packed. (There was an emergency cinnamon roll situation).

Just found your site looking at Butterbeer recipes. It really looks great. I am always looking for great recipes to try and yours look awsome. I would really like to see the other butterbeer recipe that you talked about but can’t seem to find it, did you post it? I will be back.
Hope things get better for you soon.

    Hi Ruth!
No, I never posted the second butterbeer recipe. I meant to and I just got distracted with the move. I’ll post it sometime in November, when it starts getting cold!
